The next wave of video technology will be 2k and 4k, what dose that mean for you well there is a big long technical explanation I could give you that wont matter much to right now, maybe in the future I’ll write it. But for now let’s go with basics, more and more things are being shot on green screen and have the set or backgroud added later with CGI.

Well, I bring this up because there is a new show that premiers on Friday the Oct 3rd on the Scifi channel. “Sanctuary” which is shot on a camera called “RED” its shoots 2k and 4k quality, and is shot all on green-screen. From what I have gathered the CGI is only okay, But the quality of the what’s shot on the RED looks amazing.
