MVT Productions is holding an online contest where one lucky band will have MVT produce a Music Video for them. Here’s “How it Works” , over the next few weeks bands may submit a song via our online form. Then a panel of MVT judges will select 10 finalists, the songs for the 10 finalists will be post for an online poll, from that poll 3 bands will go on for the chance to WIN and the offical judges will then pick one Grand Prize Winner . First of all, we want to wish a very happy 4th of July, we hope that everyone has a save and fun 4th. Here are some firework TIP’s.

It’s Showtime!

Think Safety First! Never endanger yourself or others!

• Only have one person at a time light the fireworks
• Never shoot fireworks in polyester clothing, wear cotton
• Always wear eye protection when lighting fireworks
• Make sure your shoot site is clear of people and pets
• Never use a cigarette lighter, only use a punk or wooden match
• By no means, alter or modify any item
• Never try to re-light a dud
• Light only one item at a time
• Never put any part of your body over an item
• Never shoot fireworks in high winds
• Have water ready on site

Show Tips

Prior to the start of the show, hand out sparklers or morning glories so everyone gets to participate. Have a bucket of water nearby so everyone can place their used sparklers in it.

• Have a shoot list or firing order
• Keep a good pace with two shooters and one prep person (loader)
• The darker the background to your display, the more spectacular it will look
• Be ready to light the next item when the previous one finishes. Avoid long delays
• Save your biggest or best single item for after the finale and light it while your guests are cheering

Pacing, creative planning, product selection and safety will ensure a great show.
